Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Vinh Long (Local homestay) (Lunch, Dinner)
Set off early in the morning to the town of Cai Be which is well-known for its floating market. On arrival in Cai Be, take a motor boat to visit the floating market and watch the locals trading fruit and many other commodities on their vessels.
Keep cruising to Vinh Long through a series of small canals to experience the charms of the Upper Mekong Delta. Stop at a Bonsai Gardener’s home for a fabulous lunch including the signature dish of “Deep fried Elephant ear fish”. Enjoy the lunch served in the heart of the g
arden accompanied by traditional southern Vietnamese folk music.
Towards the end of the day, arrive at the home of a local family whose house is built on stilts over the water. These people will be our hosts for this evening and will tell us more about inhabitant’s life herein the Delta.
Day 2: Vinh Long – Ho Chi Minh City (Breakfast)
After having breakfast,cruise to Vinh Long town on riverboat.Visit some small family businesses to see how coconut candy and crispy rice popcorn, potteries and bricks are made.
On the way back to Ho Chi Minh City by van, drop by for a visit to an ancient religious structure in southern Vietnam – Vinh Trang pagoda. The tour is wrapped up when arriving back in Ho Chi Minh City.
