In addition to these numbers, foreigners can call two other hotlines, 0511.889965 to contact the city’s Foreign Affairs Department or 0511.322253 to reach the department’s Division of Consular and Overseas Vietnamese Affairs.
In addition, the city has also launched another Vietnamese-language hotline at 05113.888.888, to receive information about crimes.
The hotline holders are able to deal with callers in both English and Vietnamese, the two departments said.
Foreigners can also come personally to the Da Nang Immigration Office at 78 Le Loi Street in Hai Chau District or dial 05113.860.247 to report crimes or other complaints.
Along with the increasing number of foreigners visiting Vietnam, including Da Nang, cases of thefts, robberies or swindles involving them have also risen, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Consular Department.
The launch of the hotlines will facilitate foreigners in contacting competent agencies for help whenever they suffer from any criminal problems, the department said.
